Summary of Position:

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and excited to work for a growing company. The ability and willingness to pursue existing and new architecture and design clients will be a major component of this job. Candidates need to have a background in design with a focus on lighting. Knowledge of some premier lighting lines is a must, including; Visual Comfort, Generation Lighting, Hudson Valley, Tech, Hubbardton Forge. Knowledge of architectural lighting is a bonus; recessed, art lighting, undercabinet, tape lighting etc. 

Responsibilities:

Identify and grow relationships with architecture and design clients for decorative lighting design.

Consult with prospective and existing clients; especially design and architectural clients.

Employ expertise of lighting and design to engage clients and provide exceptional client and partner support.

Coordinate with ownership, project management, and business development to employ strategies that build Scope Lighting’s client base.

Develop strong designs using our vendor relationships while offering value adds and client aware pricing.

Qualifications:

3+ years of lighting design or interior design with a focus on lighting required.

Energy and drive for a client-facing sales position.

Microsoft Suite and Adobe Suite experience preferred.

Basic AutoCad, SketchUp, Bluebeam are a bonus, but not required.

Ability to produce results with collaborative and independent working styles.

And other tasks as needed.
